Ballet Girl

This is a commissioned drawing in graphite pencil on A4 paper. I just finished it today and has been 'approved' by the lady who commissioned it and will be sent of tomorrow in time for the little girl's birthday on Friday.

I had some trouble working out the initial proportions which just wouldn't come out right for ages though in a preliminary sketch I did it perfect first time! I made a speed drawing video of my process which I will edit and upload this week. But I don't think the filming turned out quite so well as in my last Hosannah video.!

Something Exciting is about to Happen!

     Here is a drawing I did of my beautiful pregnant sister. She's due in a week or so! Very exciting! =)

I did this in an afternoon when I thought I was too busy to do anything else. It is one of those drawings I suddenly get inspired to do and sit down and do it then and there. Those sort of pictures usually work out best don't you think.

I will learn to draw babies when Hosanna Hope is born!

The Young Queen Elizabeth II

I have always loved the royal family, and especially the queen. here is a drawing I did of her as a young queen, wasn't she beautiful!

I've been doing more portraits lately, I love to draw faces and I'm trying to get better at drawing them. I want more experience drawing from live models too. My family are willing but it's hard to catch them. I can do a quick sketch in half an hour but the one above took me almost two hours. My goal is to be able to do something like this drawing in thirty minutes. And then I could have a go at street portraiture!

These artists in Paris are brilliant, I'd love to go to Europe and join them one day -- that's one of my dreams.

Tuppence

I hadden't done much with pencils in a while so I grabbed the first promising photo and had a dash at it.My brother took the reference photo. I changed the neck to what I think looks better. What do you think? Critique me!
